- WOU’s 53th Annual Tree Lighting opens the celebration via Live Broadcast when the Giant Sequoia is lit. The show begins at 6 p.m. at wou.edu/livestream or channel 20 on MINET EZVideo.
- Santa’s Workshop and Gingerbread Village follows with 24 (4 new) Holiday Light displays in Main Street Park. The Amphitheater will be decorated just for photo ops. Share your photos on social media and be sure to tag it in #monmouthbright!
- Shop Local Holiday Gift Guide Monmouth businesses share their holiday goods, keeping it local and making gift giving easier this season.
- The Annual Griswold Competition celebrates with Monmouth’s local businesses brightening their store fronts for the holidays. Vote for your favorite November 20-27. Categories are:
- Traditional theme (Hallmark moment)
- Colorful and creative use of décor (non-traditional)
- Brightest (Blow the Fuse!)
- First Annual "Light up the City" Home Decorating Contest begins November 28 with a route and an opportunity to vote for your favorite. A festive event for all Monmouth residents! Drive or walk through neighborhoods. Vote for your favorite November 28-December 6. Prizes will be awarded December 7.
